2K Drive was developer by Lucid Games. When I worked at Bizarre Creations I had the good fortune to get to know a lot of great developers there. When Activision closed Bizarre in Feb 2011 a bunch of the senior developers there formed their own company called Lucid Games. Around August 2011 I started working for Lucid as part of the core tech team creating 2K Drive on iOS.
I mainly worked on the low level code and platform abstraction layer for Drive. I also helped out on the asset pipeline, code architecture, Lua system and some of the main game areas like the garage. I did the Facebook integration, spent a lot of time monitoring performance and memory usage, and stomped a lot of bugs during the end stages of development.
2K Drive is a fantastic game with huge scope and ambition. Lucid were an amazing team to work with.
