Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

Frankenstein was the second commercial game I worked on and the place where I properly cut my teeth programming 68K assembler. This was another FMV heavy SegaCD game with very poor gameplay. It was a bit better than Microcosm though in that it actually had some puzzle and exploration elements mixed in with some fight game sequences.

I remember working insane hours on this game with pretty much no design or production guidance. From what I remember the entire game was done inside of 7 months start to finish. The team making the game was ridiculously inexperienced, demonstrated by the fact that I was appointed a ‘senior’ programming role even though I had only been in the industry for less than one year 8)
